Founded in 1984 by Hans Kleissl, HK-ENGINEERING has developed into one of the world’s most renowned specialists for the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing and Roadster. For more than four decades, the company’s sole focus has been the preservation, restoration and enjoyment of this automotive icon.

At its headquarters in Polling, near Munich, Germany, HK-ENGINEERING brings together extensive expertise in restoration, mechanical engineering, bodywork, paint, upholstery and vehicle preparation. This allows virtually every stage of a 300 SL project to be handled in-house, from individual repairs and regular servicing to complete, concours-level restorations.

Beyond restoration and maintenance, HK-ENGINEERING offers carefully selected 300 SL vehicles for sale, supplies specialist parts and supports customers at international rallies, concours events and historic motorsport events. The company regularly accompanies vehicles and clients to major automotive events throughout Europe and beyond.

HK-ENGINEERING also organises its own driving events and rallies, creating opportunities for 300 SL owners to experience their cars as they were intended: on the road.
