The American Bugatti Club and the Club Bugatti France have both been started with the goal of preserving, maintaining, and driving pre-war Bugatti automobiles, and keeping the brand very much alive, even beyond the sole car production. Approximately 7,890 race and touring cars were built in Molsheim, Alsca, France, from 1910 to 1939.
Club Bugatti France was founded in 1967 and has 420 members worldwide with a remarkable number of young members. Many cars are kept in the family and passed down to the children. Every year we hold a number of rallies and dinners. Retromobile was started in 1976 by members of the club in Paris, France. It is the first major Bugatti event of the year and enthusiasts come to Paris from all over the world to meet and see friends.
American Bugatti Club was founded in 1960 and has 300 members worldwide. We drive these cars on rallies, display them at concourse events and vintage race them as they were intended to be. Our first US Bugatti Grand Prix was held in 1987 and our 12th in Portland, OR this September, 39 years later. Vintage racing allows thousands of spectators of all ages to see and hear the cars in action and appreciate them.
